Blanca de la Torre

Blanca de la Torre (b. 1977, Spain) is an independent curator and art critic. She has curated exhibitions internationally in places such as New York, Prague, London and Madrid. From 2009 to 2013, she acted as Chief Curator at Artium, Basque Museum-Center of Contemporary Art of Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain.

Later she co-curated the trilogy Invisible Violence that took place in the MOCAB (Contemporary Art Museum in Belgrade), Salzburger Kunstverein, Austria and Artium, Spain. Most recently she has curated shows in New York at the EFA Project Space; in Mexico at the Centro de las Artes, Monterrey, Museo Carrillo Gil, Mexico City and Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Oaxaca; in Colombia at NC-Arte Bogotá and the group show PIGS, travelling to different European venues. She is currently developing projects for the museums MUSAC in León or LAZNIA, in Gdansk, Poland, and the South Florida Art Center for the Arts, Miami, amongst others.
